Form of Government  
The City of Greensburg, incorporated in 1926, is a Home Rule Municipality governed by a Charter passed by the voters in 1988 and is represented by a Mayor, who serves as President of Council and the Director of the Department of Public Safety and four City Council members.  Each official is elected for overlapping four-year terms with elections taking place every two years.  All Council members are at large, part-time officials overseeing departments as determined by the Mayor that include:  Accounting and Finances; Administration, Development and Public Operations; Public Works and Parks and Recreation.  Elected officials are part-time and do not have regular office hours at City Hall.  The appointed City Administrator handles the day-to-day operations of the City at City Hall under the direction of Mayor and Council.  General information may be obtained at the City Administration office at 724-838-4324.
