November 8, 2010 Bill Introductions - Bills. No. 6-2010, 7-2010, 8-2010, and 9-2010
were adopted as ordinances at the regular Council Meeting on December 13, 2010.   Adoption of Bill No. 6 as Ordinance No. 1996 fixes the Tax Rate for Real Estate for the year 2011; Bill No. 7 as Ordinance No. 1997 amends the Fee Ordinance for the year 2011; Bill No. 8 as Ordinance No. 1998 fixes the number of employees and wages for the year 2011; and Bill No. 9 as Ordinance No. 1999 sets forth the City Budget for the year 2011.

Introduction of Bills 3-2010, 4-2010 and 5-2010
Adopted at the July 12th  Council Meeting Ordinance No. 1993 amends Chapter 253, entitled ''Vehicles, Removal and Storage of', changing the title to 'Nuisances' and adding a new section for outdoor furniture restrictions; Ordinance No. 1994 authorizes the execution of a 10-year cable franchise agreement between the City of Greensburg and Comcast; and Ordinance No. 1995 deletes in its entirety A-270, entitled "Cable Television Franchise' which is obsolete from the City Code, Ordinance No. 1646.

Introduction of Bill No. 2-2010
Bill No. 2 was adopted as Ordinance No. 1993 and incorporates a new Chapter entitled, 'Fire Code's' adopting all sections of the International Fire Code dtd 2009.

Introduction of Bill No. 1-2010
Bill No. 1 was adopted as Ordinance No. 1992 incorporating updates to Chapter 227of the Code, entitled 'Solid Waste'.
Introduction of Bill No. 11 - November 9, 2009

Bill No. 11 was adopted February 8, 2010 as Ordinance No. 1991. A vote to TABLE action on Bill No. 11 was unanimous at the January 11,2010 council meeting.

Introduction of Bill Nos. 12, 13, 14, 15 - December 8, 2009
Adopted December 29, 2009 at a Special Council Meeting, Bill No. 12 as Ordinance No. 1987 fixes the Tax Rate for Real Estate for the year 2010; Bill No. 13 as Ordiannce No. 1988 fixes the number of employees and wages for the year 2010; Bill No. 14 as Ordinance No. 1989 sets forth the City Budget for the year 2010; and Bill No. 15 as Ordinance No. 1990 amends the Fee Ordinance for the year 2010.
Introduction of Bill No. 10 - September 2009
Adopted October 12, 2009 as Ordinance No. 1986, Council voted to vacatea portion of an alley sometimes known as Williams Alley in the FifthWard of the City to make way for construction of a 29-space parking lotfor Excela Health's planned expansion of the Emergency Department.

Introduction of Bills No. 8 and 9 - August 2009
Adopted September 14, 2009 as Ordinance No. 1984,  Bill No. 8 amends Chapter 40, entitled, Historicand Architectural Review Board (HARB) updating language relative to theCity's National Historic District.  Also adopted at the September meeting, Ordinance No. 1985 amends Chapter 265,entitled 'Zoning making administrative changes to the ordinance relative to the Historic District and issuance of certificates of appropriateness with Council approval.
Introduction of Bill No. 7 - July 2009
Adopted August 10, 2009, Ordinance No. 1983 amends Chapter 249, Vehicles and Traffic, updatinglanguage and schedules of streets listing stop signs, and deletingsections of the Chapter that are no longer pertinent.

Introduction of Bill No. 6 - June 2009
Adopted July 13, Ordinance No. 1982 amends Chapter 205, PropertyMaintenance, updating references to the 2006 Uniformed ConstructionCode (UCC) to the 2009 version of the UCC.
Introduction of Bill No. 4 and Bill No. 5 - May 2009
Adopted May 11, 2009 - Bill No. 4 as Ordinance No. 1980 amends Chapter 232, Streets and Sidewalks, in regards to the repair and construction of streets and sidewalks and prohibits the use of unlicensed recreational devices on City rights-of-ways and parking lots/garages;  Bill No. 5 adopted as Ordinance No. 1981 amends Chapter 151, Fees, increasing greens and cart fees at the golf course and decreases the per child pool birthday party rate for the Recreation Department.
Introduction of Bill No. 3 - March 2009
Adopted April 13, 2009 - Ordinance No. 1979 removes references in Chapter 5 and Chapter 9 of the Code to the Parking Authority which was dissolved.
Introduction of Bill No. 1 and Bill No. 2 - February 2009
Adopted March 8, 2009 - Ordinance No. 1977 amends the 2009 Wage Ordinance adding Police wages in conjunction with the new agreement between the City and Police retroactive to January 1, 2009; and Bill No. 2 as Ordinance No. 1978 amends Chapter 54, Pensions, changing the normal retirement age and benefit calculation for police officers hired after January 1, 2009.

Introduction of Bill Nos. 8, 9, 10 and 11 - December 2008
Adopted December 30, 2008, Bill No. 8 as Ordinance No. 1973 fixes the 2009 Tax Rate, Bill No. 9 as Ordinance No. 1974 sets forth the number of employees in all departments and their rates of compensation for 2009, Bill No. 10 as Ordinance No. 1975 sets forth the 2009 City Budget and Bill No. 11 as Ordinance No. 1976 amends Chapter 151, fees, changing certain fees and City services in various departments for 2009.
Introduction of Bill No. 7 - September 2008
Adopted September 8, 2008, Ordinance No. 1972 amends Chapter 54, Pensions, decreasing the disability benefit percentage for police officers that incur disabilities which were not in the line of duty.

Introduction of Bill No. 4 and Bill No. 5 - May 12, 2008
Adopted June 9, 2008, Ordinance No. 1969, amends Chapter 227, Solid Waste, in regards to the requirements for haulers placing dumpsters, roll-off and waste containers in the City of Greensburg.
Ordinance No. 1970 amends Chapter 249, Vehicles and Traffic, adding Klines Way to the schedule of streets where parking is prohibited at all times.
Introduction of Bill No. 3 -  March 10, 2008
Adopted April 14, 2008, Ordinance 1968 amends Chapter 5, Administration of Government, deleting the section entitled, Employee Code of Ethics, which is included in the City's personnel handbook.
Introduction of Bill No. 1 and Bill No. 2 - February 8, 2008
Adopted March 10, 2008, Ordinance no. 1966 deletes in its entirety Chapter 65, Residency Requirements, which is outdated from the City Code; and Ordinance No. 1967 amends Chapter 40, Historical and Architectural Review Board, removing from the list of seven members, the requirement for one to be a registered engineer.
