Development Opportunity
The City of Greensburg and the Greensburg Community Development Corporation are seeking proposals from development teams with a proven track record of successfully completing development projects in urban, downtown settings.  The development can include residential and/or commercial uses in addition to a City Center Hotel.  

The West Otterman Street Development Project will feature a City Center Hotel reinforcing the City’s development direction. Given the site’s geographic position within Westmoreland County and to key institutions and destinations within the City, the public will view the development project as a destination-oriented complex with elements providing experiences that complement and enhance existing businesses and facilities in the Cultural and Main Street Districts.   The City Center Hotel development can be complemented by uses such as office, restaurant, grocery store, nightclub, and/or mixed specialty retail, as well as residential.  The desired outcomes will:

            • Create a lively pedestrian environment within the Cultural District
            • Bring activity to downtown during evenings and weekends
            • Complement the Seton Hill University Performing Arts Center
            • Extend commercial development along West Otterman Street
            • Continue the commercial development momentum within the downtown
            • Add high quality architectural and urban design
