The Superintendent of Streets oversees the day-to-day operations of the department and twelve fulltime City employees. Street Department:Ten employees are responsible for traffic line painting, street sweeping, brush and leaf collection, right-of-way trimming, alley/street resurfacing, pothole patching, and snow removal.Fleet Maintenance Division:Two mechanics perform maintenance, repairs and State inspections for the fleet of City vehicles that includes the fire, street, recreation and electric departments.Hours of Operations:From April through October, the hours of operation are from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and during the winter months the hours are 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of our daily tasks, the DPW building is often unattended therefore 724-838-4344 connects to a 24-hour voice answering machine.
